know nevada better than anyone. that is your town and you write extensively on the demographics, the change. we have talked about reid and his victory there and certainly some would have said was beatible but not by sharon angle. with that said, you have got the president on the ground in nevada. why is that -- i guess a perfect place if you will for this launch to hear from him in about 40 minutes or so? >> well, tamron, even though we are not a border state, we are an emblem of what's happening in this country. the hispanic population is burgeoning for sometime. now about a quarter of the state. it was about 20% of the electorate and talk about the election results that john mccain was talking about yesterday. barack obama won the latino vote about 55 points here in 2012. about the same percentage that he won by in 2008. and look at where the president is going today to make the announcement. going to a high school which is about 62% hispanic population of kids. maybe the biggest problem in this state facing the education system is a lot of hispanic kids who have come here and

confirmed identity of alyssa. i have notified her father. >>reporter: authorities in nevada had been key part of the search because she was headed toward the horizon hotel in lake tahoe, nevada but her body was found about half mile away from the snow globe concert she had been attending which is in south lake tahoe, california. investigators say she may have been disoriented during her walk. >> if she was heading to the horizon in nevada she was going the wrong direction. >>reporter: alyssa body found on the other side of snow berm. investigators say she was fully clothed and no signs of foul my and nothing to lead them to believe she had been hit by a car. but there are still details that have to be ironed out. including one report that she had been seen at the horizon hotel just after the snow globe concert fichlt that person did sea her it is possible that she jumped on a shuttle or got a ride back to the snow globe area so we have got a lot of leg work still to do. >>reporter: investigators are lacking for footprints in the snow and other clue to piece together what happened. al

[video clip] >> i announced nevada would comply with the affordable care act as they related to the expansion of medicare services. as a result, some 78,000 more nevadans will have coverage without facing the new tax penalties imposed by the affordable care act. [applause] the federal law allows us to shift the mental health and other state spending to other sources say. the general on nearly $25 million over the biennium. over the next six years, this will create up to 8000 new health-care jobs and inject over half a billion dollars into where state's economy. as i noted before, we must increase taxes to bear the increased cost of the affordable care act, but the issue of the long-term health care costs remain. as such, i believe we must ask certain medicaid patients to have a modest contribution. i will insist nv will be able to opt out of the expansion program in early -- in later years should circumstances change. wednesday if you are traveling this morning out of nevada southbound to lucas valley road you can see the headlights are traveling beyond the marin ymca with no fog here. no fog on waldo and golden gate bridge is clear with crews configuring southbound commute to four lanes with road work in the north part of the spokesman northbound down to one lane and southbound was two so they are reconfiguring now for the morning commute. road work eastbound four, the reverse commute direction until 6:00 a.m. and westbound is looking good out of antioch you can see speeds at the limit and 20-minute drive toward concord. from the central valley we have fog reported around 205. otherwise, it is moving at the limit up and over the pass into the dublin/pleasanton interchange and road work on the peninsula until 5:30 this morning northbound and southbound 101 between poplar and 92 in both directions. >> you could get your tax refunds her this year with the i.r.s. watching slight delays are possible because it will start processing most tax returns at the end of the month a week later than planned beca
